Installing IM Lock Clients Remotely

IM Lock clients can be installed from a script using a setup file. This will allow IM Lock to be installed from group policy software such as Active Directory.
Installing:

2 Files Required
IMLClientSetup.exe
imlockinstaller.bat

Note: The batch file can be substitued for any file which can call an EXE with parameters

Instructions:
Place IMLClientSetup.exe in a directory on the local machine.
Edit parameters for imlockinstaller.bat file (or the scripting language you use)
Kick off imlockinstaller.bat script
Parameters:
username – your imlock username
password – your imlock password
settingsname – name of imlock settings, if you do not know, use “Default Settings”
serialnumber – your imlock serial number, if you do not have one leave blank
note: edit directory to point to where IMLClientSetup.exe is located.

CALL “C:\installdirectory\IMLClientSetup.exe” -username=youremail@email.com -password=yourpassword -settingsname=”Default Settings” -serialnumber=XXXXXXXXXX.
Uninstalling:

1 Files Required

32 Bit – imlockUninstallx32.bat
64 Bit – imlockUninstallx64.bat

Instructions:
Edit Parameters
Kick off the .bat file

Parameters:
username – your imlock username
password – your imlock password
Your devices should appear on:

http://cloud.comvigo.com

From there you can manage your devices.

If your serial number was correct and active, then you will see the devices as already activated.
