An international manufacturing company has locations in New York, Shanghai, and Mexico.  None of the three locations are connected by wide area network (WAN).  From a single PC in New York, an administrator can change the blocking settings in all three locations instantly.  Optionally, the administrator can have different settings in different locations, and change them with a few mouse clicks.

A small insurance company in Ohio has five branch offices located throughout the state, each office has a local area network (LAN), but no wide are network (WAN) connecting the offices.  The main office can remote install IM Lock clients on the PC’s at all five branch locations, and then have the ability to change blocking settings from the home office at any time.  When there are new updates to the blocking definitions, the administrator can run the IM Lock “Live Update”, and then instantly apply them to all five branch locations.
