After you create your password, IMLock Control Panel will appear:
All you really have to do to get started is to check some of the boxes for the categories you would like to block. For instance, you can check the box for Block Instant Messenger Programs, and it will block all of these programs. You can also just select a few of these programs to block.
You can proceed to check all the categories and items you want blocked. At this point, IMLock is running and working. The other settings are to really fine tune your desktop blocking, and to give you a lot of versatility in how and when you want to block programs and block websites.
Here is a quick tour of the other things you can do with IMLock.
Website Blocking. You can add any websites you want blocked. You can block by window titles, or you can block by web address. You enter the domain name, or a part of it, such as MySpace.com.
Do Not Block
You can make certain sites, such as your homepage, or your company page never blocked. You enter them in the same way as the website blocking. You enter
keywords, the domain name, or parts of the domain name, like this:
You can block programs from running on your computer. These programs could include games, download programs, unwanted utilities, even spyware. You simply
enter in the .exe name of the program, and IM Lock will stop it from running.
Program Title Blocking
You can block the titles of programs, if you do not know the names of their .exe files, Or if somebody changes the name of the .exe file.
